Life Group Questions

1. Briefly discuss the church background you came from and whether they talked about spiritual warfare being real.

2. Josh spoke about the difference between just shouting at something to go away versus being in the authority of Jesus. Have you been speaking OUT LOUD Jesus’ name over any situation that may have come against you this week?

3. What does it mean to walk in the Full Armor of God? (Belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted with the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.)

4. We don’t have to fear the devil or his power over us! The Lord says, “I have overcome!” Have you experienced an increase in your confidence this week when facing the devil – whether it’s a sinful lifestyle, sin cycle, grief, depression, pain, or anything else he may be bringing against you?

5. Ern Baxter said in his sermon that Jesus confronted Satan and said, “I’ll take those keys.” Satan said, “No one has ever talked to me like that before.” Jesus replied, “No one had the authority to before. But as God’s King, as the One who has now been given authority as God’s delegated Sovereign, I am in charge now. I’ll take the keys.” If you didn’t already, do you now realize the POWER AND AUTHORITY you have in the NAME OF JESUS? How has this changed your prayers?

6. Josh opened with a story of a young lady who had a demon in her. Once she acknowledged that she accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of her life, she had the authority to speak, “Jesus set me free!” and the demon left her. God has given us the option to accept or reject his presence and move forward in life. If you have not had a salvation experience and would like to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please get with your life group leaders. Here is your chance!
